Application Independence

CCDAutoPilot works with any combination of popular camera and
telescope control software. In addition, if you are using FocusMax, a
camera rotator, and/or a dome, CCDAP2 will control those as well.
The following example illustrates the use of CCDAP2 with TheSky6,
CCDSoft5, FocusMax and an Optec Pyxis rotator:

This example shows CCDAP2 using the same hardware as above, but
controlled with MaximDL and an ASCOM driver:

The following table illustrates the software options available with
CCDAP2. These applications can be used in any combination:

With the use of ASCOM drivers, your telescope can be controlled by
CCDAP2 by a variety of telescope control programs such as:
- Desktop Universe
- Starry Night Pro
- AstroArt
- And many more...
To improve your telescopes pointing accuracy, CCDAP2 is compatible
with the following pointing correction software packages:
For plate solving and automated focusing routines, CCDAP2
supports the following plate solving technology:
- CCDSoft and TheSky6
- PinPoint
